The Abdals
The "Abdals" are nomad Turkmen community living in Anatolia.
Itis known that they came from Horasan.
After the foundation of Firka-i Islahiye in 1985,
they settled in middle Anatolia centering Kirsehir.
They are famous with their talent in music.
They continued their performing tradition under the defense of Turkmen beys
(Bey: formaly a title inferior to Pasha and Superior to Agha; Prince, Chief)
in the past and carried until today by going around of visits in surrounding cities
and villages where they play, sing, and dance in weddings and different ceremonies.
